All lateral file cabinet models have factory-installed locks. HON "One Key" locks are cylinder locks with removable cores, which may be changed to allow offices to use a single key for multiple file cabinets. Cores may also be changed as needed to address security concerns. Keyed-alike cores must be ordered separately. |

Meet or Exceed Manufacturing Testing Standards:
All HON file cabinets meet or exceed ANSI/BIFMA & ISTA testing standards. ANSI/BIFMA is the American National Standards institute / Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association.
The types of tests employed on vertical file cabinets fall into the following general categories:
a) static load applications;
b) dynamic load applications;

D. Counterweight
Installed on 2 and 3 drawer models to inhibit tipping when drawer is opened and to meet ANSI/BIFMA operation and safety standards.
E. Double-walled structural base
Resist tampering and keeps the cabinet square for smooth drawer operation and long life.
F. Adjustable Leveling Guides
Leveling Guides are adjustable feet which allow the cabinet to be perfectly leveled on uneven floors. This assures smoothest drawer operation, as well as alignment when ganging together mutiple cabinets.
Series 400 models have two leveling guides, while Series 500, 600, 700, 800 and “K” Pull models have four leveling guides.

K. Ball-Bearing Suspension -
Heavy Duty Telescoping Ball-bearing Suspension
Triple-telescoping, ball-bearing suspension with super-tough construction for intensive file cabinet use. Has 40 steel ball-bearings per slide. Series: 800, 700, K Pull and 600.
Standard Ball-bearing Suspension
Tough, durable suspension slides smoothly on a bed of ball-bearings. Series: 500 and 400
